A Month's Update

Hello! Long time and I apologize. Honestly, lots has been going on... in my head. Growing up I never really knew what Green Day's hit "Basket Case" was all about, but now I think I totally do because I admit, I think that is what I am.

This past month has been crazy. Again, in my head. And obviously external things to cause some of that. In a bulleted nutshell, here is what I learned:

1. Always give the benefit of the doubt.
If you don't, your thoughts automatically become assumptions.
2. Do not drag things on longer to the point of getting burnt out.
The more you dig, the more crap that piles, the harder it is for yourself to climb out.
2.a. Rip off the band-aid when it is time. Do not keep it on unnecessarily or it will just get dirty.
In other words, another way to state number 2. When it is time to say something, say it. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to come forward. However, some circumstances need time to heal so I cannot say this goes for any and every situation. Then again, that goes for everything I ever say, ever.
3. Parents know (subjective).
Well at least my parents. In the end, they again are right and was only looking out for me out of love, not out of nag.

The passage that continues to appear: Matthew 6:33-34

Until next time, thanks for perusing.

WARNING P.S. Things I stated above are easier said than done.

On to the Next

When something burns, you gotta cool it down, let it heal, and move forward. On to the next.

Guys, it's been crappy the past few months dealing with some crappy things. Honestly, it was really difficult for me to try getting back up on my feet again. I realized, I needed some time to cool and heal. Otherwise, moving onto something new might have started out rough n tough, only because the previous doors were not fully closed. Sometimes, a little time and lots of prayer helps to get up again and go on to the next. BUT, that part is not easy.

After feeling lowly of myself for a few months, I actually gave up a bit on trying to go back out there to do my thing. I was so done with this dirty shady moneymoneymoney driven society encased in this selfish lifestyle. Personally, I was considering to try not going back to the working world.

However, this past week, I decided to chin up and tushy out. My mom says that with the 'selfishness of a mother's heart', she wants me to do what I can at my prime to the fullest. I totally get what she is saying and I agree!

Finally, I am searching again.

One Day at a Time

Things change. People change. Plans change. What you think will happen in the next half hour might change. This, I've come to realize, is inevitable.

As much as us humans try our bestest to stay grounded in the hustle, stuff happens. One day you think you know somebody, the next day you're shocked at what a stranger that person has become overnight. You have your schedule all worked out when suddenly, one thing causes your plans for the entire month to change. Sucks, yea, in the moment at least. But perhaps it wouldn't be perceived in such a way if we changed our approach and attitude.

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." -Matthew 6:33-34

Sometimes, we gotta take care of today. We don't know if we'll even have tomorrow. But living out today is something to be grateful for! That I can share my thoughts with you today; that I can type my fingers this very moment; that I can try something new and love someone better. All this can happen today.

So maybe we need to wake up being thankful for what is to come today rather than worrying the crap out of ourselves about whether something is gonna happen or not tomorrow.

Thanks for perusing.
